What is enough data?
What is enough data?
Arguably, you can't have enough data, the problem comes when there's too much, or you can't interpret the data.
Using Form Ratings, you get the best of both outcomes. Form Ratings has over 130 Form Factors which make up it's data set, taking from racing results for over the past 25 years, and from that, we have developed an algorithm which takes all that data, then runs them through to come up with a number of ratings, which we call our Super Six.
This provides a simple at a glance idea of how the past results stack up for each horse racing on the cards.
Of course you can always find more data to add to your strategies, some members use other ratings tools, like the Racing Post to compare/contrast the results, and build a strategy around the outcomes. Like all strategies, the idea is to whittle down the race card to find the one horse which (based on form (past results)) that is most likely to win. It's also to whittle out any 'no bet' races, so that you are making better betting decisions.
Some members utilise Betfair, and the exchange, along with our ratings to see whether the market is in agreement with our ratings, and whether there's any value in placing (or laying) the bet.
Some members look at our ratings and cross reference it with their favourite tipping service, or tipping site, so see whether there's any correlation.
There's always plenty of ways to use our ratings with other data sources, as long as it helps you build a successful strategy, without overwhelming you.
