What data makes up the Form Factors?

Form Factors are what we call the data that we apply to our ratings to find the scores.  There are a variety of Form Factors which go in to each of our Simple Six datasets.  We do all the data science, so that you can take the scores and apply them to your systems, finding the selections that will win for you.

So what Form Factors are taken into the ratings?

Each of our Simple Six use different form factors to determine their rating.  Some of the form factors include:

Race Data includes over 70 different Form Factors including the track, the bends (left or right handed), date, course speed, type of race (handicap/non-handicap), quality of race (which grade race ie group 1, group 2 etc), going, surface, type of fence, number of Course and distance winners, whether it's a festival, age restrictions, prize money, percentage of going winners the race has had.

Horse Data uses over 100 Form Factors including the sex, the age, distance travelled, odds, stall, win and place statistics from previous races, weight, headgear, owner, trainer, jockey comparisons, official rating (and also compared to the race average), Course/Distance winner, favourite status plus loads more

Jockey Data uses over 40 Form Factors including who they are, how many rides that day (and over 3 days, 7 days, 14 days and 30 days), percentage win rate, percentage place rate, win/place rate on going, win/place rate on course, weight...

Trainer Data looks at over 60 Form Factors including who they are, their win rates, their place rates, success at the course and distance, their yard location, the success of the yard, number of runners on the day, at the yard...

Stallion/Dam Data has over 50 Form Factors considered, including their origin, their successes - age of those, distance, course, profit/loss...

The Last Race Data takes into consideration over 50 different Form Factors to create it's score.  These include: Going, Day, Favourite Status, Weight, Race Type, Race quality, headgear, odds, other sexes in the race, jockey, trainer, course, distance, places, distance beaten, track direction, prize money...

Last Win Data considers over 30 Form Factors from their last winning race, including going, Favourite Status, Stall, Weight, Race Type, Race quality, odds, jockey, trainer, course, distance won by, days since last race, track direction... 

We use these factors and more to give a score for each horse in each race, which we call our ratings.  You can use the ratings we produce to help you make a better selection on the day's race cards.
