How can the same horse be picked as a win bet and a lay bet?

This is an interesting question, and as we add more smart selections for our Gold and Platinum members, will arise more often I suspect.

Simply put, the data does the talking and the metrics used to determine the selections will at times select the same horses.

Is this a problem we can something about, well, no.  It's just the data being sorted by the computer and providing the selections based on the filters.  

So what should I do?

This may be time for you to either ignore the selection or do some further research, and make an informed decision.  This may be by looking at the other ratings, and seeing whether the horse is top for any other selections, or it may be that you change your bet to a PLACE bet, so that it covers winning and coming in the place positions.
